Texas Busted Mugshots is a private reference site, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody or release, provide or remove booking photos, post bond, or obtain an official record for you. Contact the agency or court that holds the item.
Choose the Texas Office That Holds It
Texas records are kept by county and city agencies, state corrections, courts, and federal offices. Start with the place of arrest and the record type, then contact the custodian for a current answer.
- For a county or city arrest, use the Texas County Directory to find the local roster, records unit, or request path. The booking agency may differ from the jail that received the person.
- For a court outcome, search the county or district clerk that handled the case, or use re:SearchTX. The statewide court portal is not a live custody search.
- For TDCJ custody or supervision, start with the official offender search. A specific departmental identification photo requires a written public-information request; the public email lookup does not provide inmate photographs.
- Send TDCJ public-information requests through its official request page or email PIA@tdcj.texas.gov. Include the existing record sought and identifiers such as a TDCJ number when known.
- For a federal prison record, use the BOP inmate locator; for ICE detention, use the ICE detainee locator. BOP does not publish public inmate photos through its locator.
- For an active Texas wanted notice or tip, follow the official DPS, TDCJ, or federal route described on the Most Wanted Fugitives page. Do not approach a person on a list.
To correct a record, contact both the government source and any publisher holding a copy. Include the exact page address, the name shown, county or agency, approximate date, and a court order or other official proof when relevant. No public operator email or site contact form is supplied in the project materials, so none is listed here.
