Terms & Conditions

By browsing Texas Busted Mugshots, you agree to these terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the pages and linked tools. These rules apply to access from any device or location.

Texas Busted Mugshots is privately operated and is not part of any government agency, sheriff’s office, jail, court, or corrections department. It helps readers locate Texas arrest-record and booking-photo sources, but is not a private-investigation firm or a consumer reporting agency. Neither the site nor its advertising partners provide services for any purpose regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA).

Private Record Reference

This is an independent reference site, not a government office. It does not store official Texas records, confirm custody, release anyone, or file documents with an agency or court.

The pages point to county booking sources, court records, TDCJ, archives, and selected outside research tools. Government records remain with their originating custodians, and outside providers set their own terms.

Acceptable Use

  • Follow applicable law and these terms while using the pages.
  • Do not use information to stalk, harass, threaten, or expose another person to harm.
  • Do not attempt access to systems, accounts, or data you are not authorized to use.
  • Do not run bots, scrapers, or automated queries that disrupt or copy the service.
  • Do not interfere with the site’s operation or another reader’s access.
  • Do not use arrest information as a substitute for an official record or court result.

FCRA Use Is Prohibited

This site is not a consumer reporting agency under the FCRA and does not furnish consumer reports. You agree not to use any site information or partner result for a purpose covered by that law, including:

  • Decisions about credit or insurance
  • Employment decisions
  • Housing or tenant decisions
  • Licensing, permits, or eligibility for a government benefit
  • Any other FCRA-regulated purpose

Third-Party Pages and Tools

Links may lead to Texas sheriff and jail pages, county sites, court portals, state or federal locators, archives, and other search providers. A link is for source discovery and is not an endorsement. Texas’s Public Information Act and Business and Commerce Code Chapter 109 govern separate public-record and publisher questions; neither makes this site an official custodian.

Each outside service controls its own content, privacy practices, fees, and uptime. Review its current terms before submitting information or relying on a result.

Information Is Provided As Is

All material is offered “as is” and “as available.” No promise is made that it will be:

  • Accurate, complete, or up to date
  • Available without interruption
  • Free of errors or security problems
  • Complete in the results returned by a partner tool

Texas custody status and public records can change without notice. Nothing here is an official statement by a sheriff’s office, jail, court, or government agency.

Limits on Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, the site and its operators are not liable for losses or damages arising from access to, inability to use, or reliance on the pages or an outside service linked here.

Your Responsibility for Claims

You agree to protect and hold harmless the site, its operators, and its partners from claims, losses, and reasonable legal fees that arise from your use of the service or breach of these terms.

Content Ownership

Unless a source says otherwise, the site’s text, graphics, logo, and code belong to Texas Busted Mugshots or its content partners. Do not copy, change, publish, or distribute that material without written permission. Government and linked third-party records remain subject to their own rights and terms.

Changes to These Terms

These terms may be revised at any time. A change takes effect when the updated text is posted on the site.

Access May Be Limited

Access may be paused, restricted, or ended at any time and for any reason, with or without notice.

Texas Law Applies

Texas law governs these terms, without regard to a conflict-of-law rule. A dispute about the site must be brought in a court with jurisdiction in Texas.

Severability

If a court finds one part of these terms invalid, the remaining parts stay in effect. The invalid term will be limited or adjusted only as much as the law requires.

Questions About These Terms

For record-source questions, contact the agency or court that holds the item. General site questions may be sent through the contact route, when the operator makes one available.
